Coverage is available in Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Tangier, Agadir, Meknes, Chefchaouen and Essaouira, as well as along major roads and travel routes. Coverage in remote areas of the Sahara Desert and on very isolated mountain routes in the High Atlas may be limited or unavailable. This applies to all mobile networks in these locations.

No. 5G is not currently available on easySim Morocco plans. Plans connect to Orange and provide 2G, 3G and 4G coverage. Available mobile data can be used for services such as maps, messaging, WhatsApp, social media and video calls, subject to local network coverage and conditions.

No. easySim does not currently offer an unlimited data plan for Morocco. All currently available Morocco plans provide a fixed data allowance for a set validity period.

The most common reasons travellers have reservations about eSIMs are device compatibility and the shift away from a familiar process.

The Morocco country plan covers Morocco only. If your trip includes both Morocco and Spain — for example crossing via Tangier and the ferry to Tarifa or Algeciras — you would need a separate easySim Spain plan for use in Spain.

Yes. Hotspot and tethering are supported on easySim Morocco plans. You can share your mobile data connection with another device, and data used through hotspot comes from your plan allowance. Coverage in the High Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert is available in the main towns and along popular tourist routes, but may be limited or unavailable in remote trekking areas, isolated mountain passes and open desert terrain.

In the Atlas Mountains, Orange coverage is generally available in towns such as Imlil, Ouarzazate and the valleys on the road to Toubkal, but signal may drop in higher altitude and more remote trail sections.

In the Sahara region, Orange has coverage in Merzouga and Zagora town centres, but signal in open desert areas away from settlements can be very limited.

If reliable connectivity in remote areas is important to your trip, checking Orange Morocco's coverage for your specific route before purchasing is recommended.

Yes. Enable Data Roaming for the easySim line and set easySim as your Mobile Data SIM. For your primary SIM, keep Data Roaming turned off to help avoid unintended mobile data roaming charges. Your primary SIM can remain available for calls and SMS, subject to your home network's roaming availability and charges.

Yes — and we recommend it. Install your easySim eSIM at home using a stable Wi-Fi connection before your departure. Your data allowance does not start until the eSIM first connects to Orange in Morocco.

Once you arrive in Morocco, switch on your easySim line, select it for Mobile Data and enable Data Roaming. Your bundle begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Morocco. 

Q: Will my home SIM still work alongside a Morocco eSIM?

On most dual-SIM compatible phones, your home SIM remains active for calls and texts while easySim provides mobile data. You continue receiving calls and messages on your home number without paying international data charges through your home network.

Check your home network's Morocco roaming terms before travelling — call and SMS charges from your provider may still apply in Morocco even with Data Roaming off on the primary SIM.

Work through these checks first:
